SUMMARY: Drawing shows a covered
wagon, labeled "ILL," driven by two ox crossing a
river in the mountains. On the far side of the river are two men by a
fire, a covered wagon, and men standing and gesturing toward
the wagon in the middle of the river. On the near shore men stand beside
unhitched wagons, one labeled "Ohio," the other, "1859 Pikes
Peak." An ox grazes lower right. This stream is located near present-day
Ft. Collins, Colorado. Jenks arrived at camp 52 on Monday, May
30, 1859.
